Marien is survived by his wife Tania Guzman, two daughters Tharien and Tanairi Guzman, his mother Iris Perdomo, and his father Marien Guzman. Along with countless family members and friends.
Marien was born on September 6, 1971, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He spent 21 years of his life in his hometown and then followed the love of his life to the states to live the American dream. As they built a foundation and grew their family they settled in Lynn where he spent the last 17 years.
From the simplest task to the most complicated project, Marien lived and breathed unending devotion to his family. It was clear to those that knew and loved him that every action, every thought, was made with his family in mind. The flames of love for his wife were as fervent as when they started their journey together, talking for hours until morning. His pride and joy, his daughters, knew that every hour he worked, every hug and kiss, every bedside lecture, was to ensure the world could see them as the priceless gems they are, surpassing not just him, but all that struggled for success before them.
Marien’s devotion to his mother's health and happiness was a shining example to every son and daughter that knew him. He carried his work ethic home every day, where he worked tirelessly with his wife to build a home that reflected the immense love he felt for her and the beautiful family they built. Many have struggled to achieve the American dream, Marien not only achieved it in record time, he exceeded it. Everyone from acquaintances to long-time friends were overwhelmed by his compassion; the impact he had on others will be impossible to replicate. This giant of a man has left behind a legacy of love, compassion, respect, and devotion to family that will be carried on by all those he blessed with his companionship. You will be missed, Marien.
Friends and family are invited to attend Marien’s visitation on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a GoFundMe account created by the Lynnfield police department. You can find the account by searching “In Memory of Marien Guzman” at www.GoFundMe.com.
