Marilyn E. Meade

Born in Lynn, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Margaret (Curran) Dwyer. She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School Class of 1943 and the Katharine Gibbs School. She was a lifelong resident of Lynn.

Marilyn worked as a secretary for Dwyer Printing and later worked as a school bus driver for Little Folks before retiring from Lynn Hospital as a secretary.

She leaves her children: James Meade and his wife Karen of Aurora, CO, Janice Meade of Lynn, Robert Meade of Lowell, Maura (Dell’Arciprete) Meade of Brentwood, NH, Joanne Hingston and her husband Richard of Swampscott, William Meade and his wife Sandra of Hamilton, John Meade of Lynn and Maureen Morris and her husband Andrew of Wakefield. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, Robert Meade, Jr. of Kingston, NH, Jason Meade of Brentwood, NH, Shawn Meade and his wife Heather of Aurora, CO, Michael Meade and his wife Jessica of Portland, OR, Ryan, Sarah and Daniel Hingston of Swampscott, Samantha, Marissa, Luke and Emma Meade of Hamilton and Jack and Molly Morris of Wakefield. She also leaves four great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Shannon and Megan Meade of Aurora, CO and Henry Meade of Portland, OR. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Albert Dwyer, John Philip Dwyer and Eleanor Chapman.

Marilyn’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday at 10:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 3-7PM. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Activity Fund at the Abbott House Nursing Home, 28 Essex St. Lynn, MA 01902.
