

Mrs. Mary Florence (Ford) Greenleaf, age 66, lifelong resident of Lynn, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at NSMC Salem Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Donald E. Greenleaf, Sr. with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, Mary was the daughter of the late John Henry and Florence Mary (Smith) Ford. She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School Class of 1965. Always willing to help others, Mary worked with Abbott House Nursing Home for 13 years before becoming a Paraprofessional in the Lynn School System for the last 10 years, retiring in March of this year. Mary was a very social and outgoing person who enjoyed card nights with her special friends, being active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 19 in Sanford, ME, vacationing with her family at her summer home in Maine, spending time at the casinos and bargain shopping. Above all else, Mary’s dedication and life was her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Tammie Greenleaf and husband Christopher Stewart of RI, Donald Greenleaf, Jr. and wife Ann of Lynn and Steven Greenleaf and wife Ann Marie of Lynnfield. She was the sister of John Ford and wife Kathy of Lynn and the late James Ford. Also survived by grandchildren, Sofia Raye, Cameron, Cullen and Emma, Godson Jason Ford, and several nieces and nephews.
Mary’s Funeral will be held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Monday at 9:30AM. Funeral Mass at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn at 10:30AM. Burial to follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8PM.
