

Born in Lynn to the late Elmore M. and Geraldine L. Spring. He grew up in Lynn, graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, and raised his family in Lynn. He was a Head Meat Cutter for Stop & Shop for over 50 years. He was a dedicated member of Boston H.O.G and UFCW 1445. He loved riding his motorcycle and taking trips to New Hampshire. He cherished his time spent with family and friends.
Melvin is survived by his children Stacey Clay and her husband Frederick of Ossipee, NH, Kelly Hill of Lynn and Melvin Spring, Jr. and his wife April of Lynn; his 6 grandchildren Christine Hill, Samantha Haskell, Collin Clay, Ashley Spring, Carter Clay and Kaitlyne Spring, and his great grandson Dominic Cedano; and his sister Patricia Spring of Lynn.
Melvin’s visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
