

LYNN - Mr. Michael Joseph King, age 60, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at home with his wife, Amy and daughter, Allisa, by his side. Born and educated in Lynn, Michael was the son of Jeannette (Willis) King of Lynn and the late, John “Jack” King. He graduated from Lynn Classical High School with the Class of 1974. He was the beloved husband of Amy (Glass) King of Lynn with whom he shared 32 years of marriage; the loving and devoted father of Allisa King of Lynn; the dear brother of Colleen and John Barry, Barbara and Michael Collins, all of Lynn, Jack King and Patrice Cunningham of Peabody, Mary and Timothy Powers of Lynn, David and Lisa King of Wakefield and the late Diane Hoy and Joseph King; the brother-in-law of Judy Glass of Salem; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Michael was a union carpenter with Local #595 for many years. He was a man loved by many for his kindness and loyalty to his family and friends. He was an avid Boston sports fan. The family would like to thank the staff of Care Dimensions Hospice for their guidance of support.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 19th, at 4:00 p.m. at the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited. Memorial visiting hours will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19th prior to the service in the funeral home.
