Miriam G. "Mim" Burke Mullen

Mrs. Miriam G. “Mim” (Burke) Mullen, age 83, of Lynn, died Friday evening in her home after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene F. Mullen, who died April 8, 2012, with whom she had been married for 57 years.

Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Pandergast) Burke. She lived in Lynn for most of her life.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Telephone Operator for New England Telephone and was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers. She greatly enjoyed spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves 4 sons, John W. Mullen and his wife Dale of Lynn, Albert F. Mullen and his wife Jacquelynn of Danvers, Martin D. Mullen and his wife Lisa of Jacksonville, FL and Daniel J. Mullen and his wife Karen of St. Augustine, FL; 2 daughters, Jean M. Maitland and her husband Robert of Lynn and Cathy Lee Nelson and her husband Michael of Derry, NH. Also survived by several brothers and sisters, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mim’s Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8PM.
