Nancy M. Bragan

Nancy M. Bragan, age 83, of Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, November 19th, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Edwin S. Bragan, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Milton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Norman P. and Alice L. (Kearney) Smith. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English School, Class of 1961. Nancy was employed as an administrator at the Workmen’s Compensation Bureau in Boston for many years until her retirement in the spring of 1998. She enjoyed planning trips and loved visiting castles in England and Ireland. Nancy frequently traveled to the Woodstock Inn and Nantucket. She was known for entertaining and always prepared a fabulous spread for all to enjoy.

Nancy is survived by one niece, Lisa, and her husband, Joseph Zarra, of Cheshire, CT; two nephews, Michael and his wife, Tracey Zimirowski, of Georgetown, and Edmund Zimirowski of Swampscott; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also the sister of the late Linda Ann Zimirowski.

Service details: Private services for Nancy were held at the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St., Lynn, followed by a burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial donations in Nancy’s name to the Kaplan Family House in Danvers, MA.
