

Mrs. Norma A. (Nordby) Foster, 87, of Lynn, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Foster with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
Born in East Boston, Norma was the daughter of the late Zigewald and Edith (Nilsen) Nordby. She was an operator for New England Telephone and later AT&T for many years. Through her work, Norma belonged to the Telephone Pioneers of America. During her life, Norma loved to travel with her husband, play cards and loved animals. In addition, Norma belonged to First Lutheran Church of Lynn and the Red Hat Society.
Norma was the mother of the late Charles Foster and Stephen Foster. Grandmother of Charles Webber of Lynn and the late Stacia Foster. Also survived by her nephew Carl Leuci and his partner David W. Savage of Newburyport, great-nephew Stephen Leuci of Revere and his daughter Paula Leuci. She was also predeceased by her sister Ruth (Nordby) Leuci.
Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, Lynn on Friday at 9AM. Funeral Service to follow in First Lutheran Church, Lynn at 10AM. Burial will be private. Visiting Hours on Thursday from 4-7PM.
