Phyllis A. McSween

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ann (Maloney) McSween. She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. She resided in Lynn for most of her life before moving to Peabody 11 years ago.

Prior to her retirement, Phyllis was a longtime employee of the GE, where she served as an Administrative Assistant for many years. She was a 2012 “Bronze” Member of the Friends of the Peabody Council on Aging. A very independent woman, she enjoyed life in her own way. She was a communicant of Saint Pius V Church and faith was #1 in her life.

She leaves her sister, Gloria Martin of Lynn; her niece and nephews, Susan A. Wills of Lynn, Paul F. Martin and his wife Gail of Marietta, GA, Gary R. Martin and his wife Linda of Attleboro and Kevin E. Martin and his wife Cheryl of Groveland. She is also survived by many grandnieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are kindly invited to attend Phyllis’ Funeral Mass in Saint Pius V Church, Lynn on Tuesday at 10:30AM. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery. At Phyllis’ request, there will be no Visiting Hours. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 15 Mount Carmel Road, Danvers, MA 01923.
