

Mrs. Phyllis E. (Chamberlain) Tucker, age 93, of Lynn, formerly of Lovett Place, died Monday, September 3, 2011 at a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late George M. Tucker, to whom she was married for 55 years.
A lifelong resident of Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Leon Chamberlain and the late Theresa (O’Leary) Chamberlain, and stepdaughter of the late Archie Brosler and the late Madeleine (Walsh) Brosler. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Institute and of Lynn English High School, Class of 1936. She was employed as a waitress by the Tedesco Country Club, Marblehead for 32 years before retiring in 1983. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, a former member of the Sodality at St. Joseph’s, and was a volunteer at Salem Hospital. She was also very active in the L.E.H.S. Alumni Association for many years.
She leaves three sons Donald F. Tucker of Newmarket, NH, Barry P. Tucker of Andover, MA, and John J. Tucker and his wife Carol of Newton, NH, a step-sister Ruth Farham of West Harwich, MA, 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was mother of the late George R. Tucker and sister of the late William Chamberlain. She was grandmother of the late Thomas Tucker and Richard Tucker.
Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Wednesday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s (Upper) Church at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
