
Born in Lynn, Scott was the son of the late Benjamin “Frank” and Barbara (Wormstead) Poole.
Scott owned printing and typesetting businesses in Lynn for 27 years, previously working in senior management positions in the same industry. In all, he spent over 48 years in the printing industry. He started Graphic Consulting Group, aimed at helping teach small printing companies how to make a profit. He also taught classes and seminars in Production Management for 16 years for the Printing Institute of New England and taught for 6 years at Northeastern University.
Scott was a 33rd Degree Mason and member of the Golden Rule Lodge in Wakefield and the Mount Carmel Lodge in Saugus. He was also a member of the Aleppo Chanters. He served as a Lynn City Councilor and Commissioner of the Lynn Water and Sever Commission. He was past president of the Lynn Lions Club and a member of the Middleton Stream Team.
Scott had a strong passion for politics and was always involved in various political campaigns. Although he was never able to serve in the military, he was a true patriot and flew the American Flag proudly. He will be dearly missed by his wife, his loving family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Christopher S. Poole and his wife Andrea of Framingham, Gary Schultz and his wife Stacey of Gulfport, MS, Kimberley Belmonte and her husband Joseph of Creedmor, NC, Debra Roy and her husband Seth of Wrentham, Wendy Kornbliet and her husband Joel of Framingham and Jody-Beth Nichols and her husband David of North Andover. He was the brother of Robert Poole of Portland, ME and is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Scott’s Memorial Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Tuesday at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Memorial Visitation prior to the Service beginning at 9:00AM. Memorial Observance will be held at his late residence following the burial on Tuesday from 6-9PM and Wednesday from 12-4 & 6-9PM.
