

Attorney Richard Raymond O’Leary, 71, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016. Born September 27, 1944, youngest son of Thomas F. O’Leary Sr. and Mary B. (Gore) O’Leary. He was predeceased by parents and only sister, Joan Marie O’Leary. He leaves elder brother, Thomas F. O’Leary, MD of Lynnfield with whom he resided, John R. O’Leary and wife of Florida, several nephews and nieces, and a lifelong friend, Attorney Stan Cohen. He attended Boston Latin School, Tufts University, Boston College Law School and Boston University acquiring a Masters in Taxation. He practiced law in Lowell for many years. He was an active member of the Green Mountain Horse Association for many years with his horse, Sandpiper. He also was an active member of the Danvers Fish and Game Club. His funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn on Tuesday, January 12th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield. Relatives and friends invited. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 11th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
