Richard S. Walker

Richard “Rick” Walker passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a long illness. Richard was born on October 17, 1957 in Lynn, MA the son of Kathleen (Foss) Walker and Donald A. Walker. He was raised and educated in Lynn. Rick worked as a telemarketing/Customer Service Manager for Garelick Farms in Lynn for 35 years. Rick enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a man everyone loved to be around. As an amateur singer, dancer, and comedian, Rick brought life and joy everywhere he went. He was also a selfless man who invested much of his life caring for his mother and sister. Rick was a much loved son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by many.

Richard “Rick” was the son of the late Kathleen and Donald Walker. He leaves 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Rick is survived by his sister Kathryn (Walker) and her husband Mark Sewell of Peabody, brother Donald and his wife Ruth Walker of Lynn, brother Robert and his wife Kathleen Walker of Beverly, brother Tim and his wife Sheila Walker of Salem, sister Tammy Walker of Lynn. He is also survived by his 2 nieces and 3 nephews – Mark Sewell, Jr. and his wife Tarra, Leanne (Sewell) Foye and her husband David, Justin Walker and his wife Meghan, Ashley (Walker) Valletta and her husband Dominic, and Eric Walker.

Family and friends are invited to attend Rick’s visitation on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 4-8 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904. His funeral will begin at the funeral home at 10 AM on Friday, January 12, 2018 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street in Lynn. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Lynn.
