Rita A. Wall

Rita graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1946. She worked as a secretary at General Electric in Boston until she married and started a family. Rita stayed home many years raising her two daughters. She returned to work at Lynn City Hall as a secretary in the Department of Public Works from 1968 through 1978.

The Wall Family resided on Boynton Street in Lynn for many years. Rita was a parishioner at St. Pius V Church for 60 years.

She is survived by her two devoted and much-loved daughters, Dr. Patricia McCauley and her husband Charles of Woburn, Ma. and Susan Cockrell and her husband Walter of Daniel Island, SC.

She leaves three beloved grandchildren, Kristen Rench and her husband Kristopher, Robert McCauley and his wife Danielle, and Matthew McCauley. She also leaves three great grandchildren, Sophie and Juliet Rench and Jack McCauley.

Rita leaves a sister, Patricia Consoles and her husband Louis of Danvers, Ma. She was preceded by a sister, Mary E. King.

A special thank you to her lifelong friends from St. Mary’s High School who remained loyal to the end.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 6th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn, MA 01904. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 7th from the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St., Lynn. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
