Rita Bouchard Cormier

Born in St. Alexandre, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Alphee and Claudia (Pelletier) Bouchard. She came to this country in 1950, settling in Salem. She had lived in Lynn since 1959.

Rita was a former communicant of St. Jean-Baptiste Church, Lynn and recently a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Lynn.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and spending summers in Quebec. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter Pauline M. Foley and her husband Robert J., and granddaughter Elizabeth K. Foley all of Lynn. One of a family of 15 children, she leaves her siblings Remi Bouchard, Albert Bouchard, Doria Guerrette, Leopold Bouchard and Regent Bouchard all of Quebec, and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St., Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lynn at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Jean’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Parkinson Disease Assn., 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
