Rita A. McStravick Jamieson

Mrs. Rita A. (McStravick) Jamieson, age 88, of Lynn, died on Thursday, Oct. 27th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a brief illness. She was the wife of Hector ‘Frank” Jamieson, with whom she had been married for 62 years.

Born and raised in Boston, she graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy, Boston, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Hilda (Bausch) McStravick. She lived in Lynn for most of her life.

A communicant of St. Pius V Church, she was a member of the Sodality and volunteer for the Church Bazaars.

She was an avid Red Sox fan and loved to bowl.

In addition to her husband she leaves her children Mary Sherlock and her husband William of Easton, PA, Barbara Malone and her husband Richard of Beverly, Bonnie Anderson and her husband Steve of Nahant and Michael Jamieson and his wife Theresa of Reading, eight grandchildren John Sherlock, Kate McNamee, Daniel Malone, William Malone, Christopher Malone, Maura Anderson, Erin Anderson and Meagan Jamieson, and three great-granddaughters Erica and Leah Malone and Ashley Sherlock.

The funeral will be held on Monday at 8 AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church Lynn at 9 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Pius V Parish, 215 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904.
