

Mrs. Rita (Lynch) Kleros, age 100, of Lynn, died Tuesday afternoon in the Kaplan Family Hospice House with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles “Gus” Kleros, who she married in 1950 and shared over 61 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, Rita was the daughter of the late William and Delia (Sullivan) Lynch. She attended Lynn schools and Lynn Classical High School. In her earlier years, Rita worked at the Frank C. Myers Box Factory in Lynn and Lawrence with her sister Marie, and then began work at General Electric in 1942, where she met her husband Gus in 1944.
Rita was a communicant of the Holy Family Church, and enjoyed crossword puzzles and singing Irish songs to her family. She spent her days keeping up with the world through her radio so she could spark lively conversation with family and friends. She loved spending time with her family, but above all, enjoyed time she spent with her five grandchildren.
She leaves her children Louis Kleros of Tarpon Springs, FL, Pamela Sheehan and her husband Steve of Wakefield, and Patricia Matvichuk and her husband Paul of North Reading. She was the loving grandmother of Charles, Matthew, and Amanda Sheehan, and Rachael and Patrick Matvichuk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rita was the sister of the late William “Bill” Lynch, Marie E. (Lynch) Hyde, and Rose “Claire” Lynch.
Rita’s funeral will be held on Saturday, July 9th, at 9:00 a.m. from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 8th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
