Robert Joseph Anthony Leger

Robert Joseph Anthony Leger, age 74 of Lynn, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at MGH Boston. He was the beloved husband of the late Ann M. (Burke) Leger, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn to the late Robert N. and Alice F. (Terro) Leger. He was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1968. Bobby married the loved of his life on August 14, 1971 and couple settled in Lynn to begin their family. He later attended the Mass School of Barbering, Class of 1981, and opened his own shop in Downtown Lynn. He worked for Lancer Security, and in property management. In his later years, he volunteered his services at the Lynn Council of Aging. He enjoyed music, attending concerts, gardening, traveling, food, and his love for animals.

Bobby is survived by Cara Leger-McDonough and her husband Martin of Lynn; Dannielle Leger-Cahill of Gloucester; Erin Leger-Castro and her husband Branor of Lynn; his grandchildren Ryan McDonough, Madison McDonough, Andrew Cahill, Brianna Castro and Lidia Castro; his brother Richard Leger and his wife Robbie; and his beloved grand-puppies Noa and Spartan; and his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Ann, Bobby is predeceased by his grandchildren Tyler J. McDonough and Jason A. Lopez; his sisters Kay Buttiglieri and Nancy Call.

Friends and family are invited to attend Bobby’s visitation on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
