Ryan Patrick Sweeney

September 21, 1971 - March 9, 2026

Ryan Sweeney, age 54, of Everett, passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday, March 9, 2026, with his finacée Darnielle Dimond by his side, after battling a brief illness.

Ryan was born on September 21, 1971 in Union Hospital in Lynn, to Diane J. (Ryan) Sweeney-Darcy of Peabody and the late Anthony P. Sweeney. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Cornelius "Neil" Darcy. He is survived by his sister Denise Ciampa and her husband Paul, his sister Toni Lyn Kucker and her husband Steve, as well as nephews, a niece and great nieces and nephews.

Growing up in Saugus, Ryan spent his childhood playing baseball and taking ski trips on the weekends with his family and close friends of the neighborhood where he grew up.

Ryan spent most of his adult life in Everett, where he took up a career in construction, a trade he learned at an early age from his father. When he was not working, he enjoyed playing darts and cribbage, and taking camping trips with his fiancée.

Ryan was determined to choose a path and stayed true to that path. His family will remember his great smile and bear hugs most.
