Steven A. Forest

He was the husband of the late Ann (Stevens) Forest, with whom he had been married for 20 years.

Born in Lynn and a lifelong Lynn resident, he was the son of the late Frederick and Francis (O’Neil) Forest. Steven was a graduate from Lynn English High School, Class of 1970. He was a machinist at the G.E. River Works Plant for the past 39 years. Steven was a longtime member of the Gannon Golf Club and a lifetime member of the “Golden Circle Gang”. He and his wife enjoyed traveling to Aruba.

Steven leaves a son William McCafferty and his wife Andrea of Lynn, a daughter Christine McCafferty-Bourgeois of Lynn, a brother David Forest of MN, a sister Julia Forest of Dorchester, and five grandchildren William McCafferty, IV, Benjamin McCafferty and Genevieve McCafferty all of Lynn, Richard Dyer and Miranda Dyer both of Hillsboro, NH. Steven is also survived by his many friends from Tony’s Pub and the Lazy Dog. In addition to his wife and parents, Steven is predeceased by his brothers Mark Walters and Richard Walters.

Steven’s funeral will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:00AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church, Lynn at 12PM. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 3-7PM.
