Susan Marie Giffin, with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a kind and compassionate soul. Susan passed away on Friday, December 12th. Her untimely departure leaves an emptiness in our hearts and in the hearts of all who loved her.
Susan was born on December 18th, 1962, to Robert and Carol Ann Giffin. She lived in Lynn, where she worked as a cook for over two decades at the Lido.
Sue was generous to her own detriment, often sacrificing and putting others' needs before her own. Her free-spirited nature and strong will made her both a force to be reckoned with and an incredibly loyal friend. Her passionate heart was most vulnerable and visible in moments of togetherness, making her presence unforgettable.
A cook by trade and passion, Sue enjoyed creating delicious dishes, going camping, and spending time with the people she treasured most. Her greatest joy was in sharing those moments with her sons, David and Kevin, who she loved deeply. Her beloved kitty was a constant source of comfort and companionship.
Susan leaves a lasting mark on the hearts of those who truly knew her. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, she will be remembered for her strength, resilience, creative spirit, and fierce love.
Susan is survived by her son Kevin Giffin, brothers Robert Giffin and Joseph Giffin, sisters Tina Alexander and Michelle Plourde, father Robert and his wife, Maureen Giffin, brother in-laws Christopher Plourde, and Tim Egan, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
She was predeceased by her son, David Michael Giffin, her mother, Carol Ann Giffin, her grandmother Rita Doward
