Theresa P. Marquis

Mrs. Theresa P. Marquis, age 95 years, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn and Yarmouth Port, died Monday May 7, in Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Edward and Annabelle Stanley. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1936. Mrs. Marquis was employed as a waitress at Hilltop Steak House in Saugus for many years until she retired in 1970. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. A woman of deep faith, she was also active in the Brooksby Village Protestant Faith Community. Mrs. Marquis was predeceased by her sister Phinnette Babbitt, and her brother William Stanley. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn, and three grandchildren. In her final years, she came to regard her friends at Brooksby Village as family. Service Details: Memorial services will be held in the Chapel at Brooksby Village on Friday May 18th at 2:00 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
