It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Thomas “Tommy” Kelley DePoy, age 4, on November 20, 2024. A bright light in our lives, Tommy brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.
Born on November 7, 2020, Tommy had a boundless love for life that was infectious. Whether he was throwing the football, running through the yard, or just soaking up the simple pleasures of being surrounded by loved ones, Tommy lived every moment with unbridled energy and love. He was the cherished son of Bridget and Ryan DePoy, who will forever hold him in their hearts. His sisters, Virginia and Juliet, were not only his playmates but his fiercest protectors and best friends. Their bond was one of pure love and admiration, and Tommy found his greatest happiness in being their little brother.
Tommy is survived by his grandparents, Bob and Maureen Webb of Lynn and Nancy DePoy and the late Tom DePoy of Rutland, VT. , along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were touched by his joyful spirit.
A service to honor Tommy’s life will be held on November 30th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St., Lynn MA 01904. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery In lieu of flowers, because Tommy had a pure love of sports, the family requests that donations be made to this fund in his honor.
Though his time with us was far too brief, Tommy left an indelible mark on all who loved him.
His sweet smile, boisterous belly laughs, and adventurous spirit will live on in the memories of those who had the privilege to know him. “Though his wings were ready, our hearts were not.”
