Virginia A. Henderson

Born in Lynn, Virginia was the daughter of the late Henry H. and Irene (Marquay) Johnson. She attended Lynn Schools, was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and later graduated from the Salem State Teacher’s College. She was a resident of Lynn for over 83 years.

An avid Red Sox fan, Virginia greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In earlier years, she had been a volunteer at Union Hospital.

She leaves her children, Robert V. Henderson, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Amelia Island, Florida, Richard J. Henderson of Florhan Park, NJ and Barbara J. O’Neil and her husband David of Holliston. She was the Grandmother of Robert III, Kathryn and Jason Henderson, Carrie Comerford, Richard Jr. and Thomas Henderson, Deborah Faichney, Susan Laidlaw and James O’Neil. She was the great grandmother of Adam, Caitlin, Brooke, Morgan, Emma and Kate Henderson, Jenna, Matthew and Andrew Faichney, Kyle and Ryan Laidlaw and Daniel, Kaydence and Maeve O’Neil. She was the sister of the late H. Holton Johnson, III and Doris E. Peterson.

Virginia’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation prior to Mass beginning at 9:00AM.
