William A. "Bill" DeMars

Born in Saugus, Bill was the son of the late Wilfred A. and Ruth (Moore) DeMars. He was a resident of Lynn for the past 59 years. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a sheet metal worker for Lynn Sheet Metal and later worked in the Maintenance Dept. at Lynn Hospital for over 20 years.

Bill was an avid Keno player, but above all, he was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his sons: William A. DeMars and his wife Patricia of Raymond, NH, Douglas W. DeMars and his wife Jan of Lynn, James R. DeMars and his wife Ann of Amesbury and John M. DeMars and his wife Pauline of Lynn. He was the brother of Paul DeMars and his wife Candace of Hampstead, NH, Arthur “Sonny” DeMars and his wife Nina of North Carolina, Richard DeMars and his wife Marilyn of Manchester, NH and Janice Pelletier and her husband Mario of Derry, NH. Bill is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ronald DeMars, Robert DeMars, Diane Pike, Arlene Stevens and Carole Barrett.

Bill’s Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Tuesday at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
