

Allan Hoben Neill, age 90, of Kenmore, Washington passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Allan was born July 25, 1930 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, to Marjorie Haines Fletcher and Wallace Raymond Neill, the oldest of three brothers including Robert Donald Neill and Roger Brian Neill. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Civil Engineering and earned a Masters in Engineering from the University of Utah. As a civil/structural engineer he worked at Gander International Airport, Newfoundland; Baffin Island; the Arco Twin Towers in Los Angeles, California; and the Coloumbia Center in Seattle, Washington; among others. Converting to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he served a proselyting mission to France and Belgium. An avid hunter and fisherman he fervently treasured the wilds and inspired many with a love for the outdoors. He ran 315 miles of the Frazier River in 1958 in a canvas decked open Canadian canoe, with the canoe tilting on end many times. He volunteered for decades with the Boy Scouts of America. He will be remembered as a genuine, optimistic, resourceful, affable man dedicated to God, home and country. He married Janice Louise Myers on August 22, 1958, his companion of 58 years. He is survived by four children Tracey Ann Bradford, Allan Wallace Neill, Stephanie Schwantes and Robert Garrett Neill along with 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
