Antoine "Tony" LaShawn Fleming, was reunited with the Lord at the early age of 46. Born at Methodist Hospital on May 10, 1978, in Gary, Indiana, to Rosco Henry Fleming Jr. and Alv White (Barnes). Antoine was preceded in death by his loving Grandparents Solomon and Carrie Barnes. He leaves behind his two beautiful children, Cadence and Asher Fleming, his loving mother, Alv, and sister, Nicole. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews—Te, Loni, Deja, Dj, and Aj— his aunts, uncles, cousins, his Fleming family, as well as a wide circle of friends who will forever hold his memory close.
Antoine was a vibrant and loving soul who brought joy to everyone who knew him.
Antoine's journey took him from his early days in Gary, Indiana, to Las Vegas Nevada, in 1992, where he sought better opportunities and embraced new adventures. He graduated from Valley High School in 1996, becoming an avid trumpet player. He began his college career at UNLV, where he studied Music Education. In 2006, he relocated to Mountlake Terrace, Washington, where he made a life filled with memories, laughter, and challenges. In Washington, he married and became a father. Fatherhood was his ultimate joy. He continued his college education and received a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University to fulfill his dreams of becoming a high school history teacher.
Antoine had an infectious sense of humor that could make anyone laugh, and his ability to connect with others made him a friend to all. He was known for his love of storytelling, always sharing anecdotes from his life with a wit that captivated his listeners. His passion for karaoke was unmatched; he could light up any room with his incredible talent and joy for performing.
A lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, Antoine’s love for the team was legendary. He followed their games with unwavering devotion and shared his enthusiasm with anyone who would listen.
Though his time with us was far too short, Antoine’s spirit and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Instead of mourning his death, we ask that you celebrate Antoine’s life by sharing stories, music, and love, just as he would have wanted.
