Bao Nghi Strathy, 53, of Redmond, WA passed away in her sleep at home on Monday, August 1, 2022. She was born January 7, 1969 in Saigon, Vietnam to Quang Luu and Duc Chau. She was married to her loving husband, John Strathy, on September 10, 1994.
She arrived in the USA in July 1978 and became a US Citizen in January 1988. She was a graduate of Kelso High School and went on to John Robert Powers fashion academy and Bellevue Community College. She was a cosmetics department head at Fred Meyer and an Administrative Assistant at Microsoft. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, travel, the beach, makeup artistry, and sharing time with family and friends.
Preceeding her in death was her father, Quang; beloved bichon Ernie. Surviviors include her mother Duc; husband John; brother Yu Ki Lau (Sunny); sisters Po Chi Ostergren (Mark), Bao Van Luu (Mike Gilman); 7 loving nieces and a nephew.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 at Atonement Lutheran Church at 6905 172nd St NE, Arlington, WA 98223.
