A great memory I have with my Nana Bev is over quarantine she called me and we spent about 20 or so minutes just talking we talked about so much in that time period. She was very exited to talk too. One time she even made it to basketball game that i cheered at, i was very excited to see her there and knowing she was there was awesome! I miss and love my nana very much. 

I got to  know Bev soon after she moved from a split level on  Grimes Road into this freestanding pick up camper with their fridge and washer in  a small shed next to it.  Deep mud and snow made it impossible to get a machine or concrete truck near the house site. We were forced by circumstance to dig the form work in with picks and shovels and to lay boards in the mud to be able to wheelbarrow the concrete from up near the road. Even with a toddler in tow, Bev could anticipate by watching us what was needed and was right there time after time. Having Bev fill that position without us having to stop made us an incredibly efficient team. We kept at it for seven months with only two days off so that another winter wouldn’t have to be spent living in the camper.  I look back fondly to those days with Bev and Marcie. Getting to know them and other members of the Boddy family made those long days more tolerable. For all the years I knew Bev, I never doubted her truthfulness or her motives. I’ve always considered her presence as part of my family as raising the bar in terms of integrity. RIP Bev. You fulfilled every role and expectation flawlessly and with grace. 

While Bev and I attended the same high school, one year apart, I didn’t really get to know her until she married my twin brother in August 1970. I had married my brothers best friend 9 months earlier, which led to the beginning of many wonderful experiences. Until I moved away in 1979, as a foursome, we regularly shared in many, many meals together - dinner nights out, home parties, card nights, family cabin excursions, camping & hunting trips, as well as our memorable trip to the Spokane Worlds Fair - in Mom’s van. That van took us on a couple of humorous adventures- such as camping on the North Cascades Hwy where both Bev and I were locked out of the van, screaming, with the guys inside and a bear behind us! We didn’t let the men forget that trip! It was during these years that I really learned what the face of true love looked like. Knowing Bev was to become so vividly aware of her profound, loving attitude towards others ... as well as animals - oh, how she loved her first dog, Brenda. In my eyes, Bev was the epitome of quiet Grace. She was incredibly humble, you’d be lucky if you could sneak a picture of her without first, her hand rising to shield her face, yet she knew just how to share her gifts of the intangible and tangible equally. You could give Bev a needle and a thread and she could sew anything - for anyone, give Bev a camp stove and she could prepare a banquet - for anyone, give Bev a camper to live in, and she could turn it into a loving home - for her family. She knew how to wed love to any deed - and her family was center. The day Bev’s daughter, Marcie, was born, was perhaps the happiest day of her life -the tenderness and warmth that she shared with Marcie just came naturally. They say that the deepest beauty of love is how it changes lives. She has touched mine forever. 

Bev, you came into my life when I was 10 and we had so much fun, you exuded love and laughter. You were so supportive and were always there. You were my sister for 31 years and I looked at you as my sister even after that.  Fly free Bev, sing amongst the angels in their beautiful choir.  You are loved.

I will always remember being blessed by Aunt Bev’s presence last Thanksgiving. She was a delight as she engaged in conversations with my children and other family members. Joy radiated from her peaceful heart and sweet disposition. I was reminded of spending time with her in my childhood... she was always so lovely, almost like a delicate flower or shooting star. I’m thankful for the time we spent together...  this past year especially was such a gift. 💗


Even in high school we talked for hours... and that continued till now.  Family was in our conversations as well as all the joys and challenges.  Bev was always an easy and fun person to talk to.  I will miss her.

My name is Tracey Mackie and I am the Fitness Director at Scriber Gardens I wanted to let the family know how much I enjoyed Beverly and I miss her.  She was a bright light here at work and she always had such a great sense of humor.  I had the privilege of working with her and we spent time together in the fitness room.  She was a sweet caring individual who loved her family dearly there wasn't a time I spent with her that her family wasn't brought up in the conversation.  
She will be missed and I pray that God's peace will be with her family and friends during this difficult time.

I was privileged to have worked with Bev at ThomasLake Albertsons ♥️ Scan coordinators are known to be strong and savvy and Bev was none the less ♥️ She was ALWAYS there for us when we needed and ALWAYS a sweetheart ♥️ She did her job so well and we always looked to her for advice and help. May she Rest In Peace for she has given me peace in knowing how to do her job after she left ♥️ Thank you Bev for everything you taught me. Oh  Aunt Bev how so very much I will be missing you!
 I have numerous memories of her and all of them hold something positive, she was a delight to be with and even when life was at its toughest this beautiful woman had her her own unique sense of humor to lighten the moment. 
I spent a lot of time with her throughout my life and she always treated me well, was easy to talk to, much like a mother to me, and she  even guided me into my own motherhood with thought, care, and of course that special sense of humor of hers! She has been very special to me. I’m grateful she was in my life!
Hugs and kisses Aunt Bev, I will always and forever love you.

I spent some time with Aunt Bev when I was young. 
For some reason, what I remember most about her was how flexible she was! She showed me how she was able to forward bend and keep her hands flat on the floor, I aspire to be able to bend like that! 
Aunt Bev had a very comforting presence, time spent with her was easy and enjoyable. She will be missed.


I remember Bev 's first day on the school bus to Shorecrest after her family's move to Sheridan  Heights.  We shared being the new kid, morning sleepy smiles and choir.  May she rest in peace, and my condolences to her family.

I got to spend a lot of time with Bev and Marcie growing up. To this day the best cookies of my life were the ones Bev made. Chocolate chip with plenty of M&Ms in them!! We also spent a lot of time singing- one of our favorites was “breaking up is hard to do” in three part harmony. We ROCKED it- I can’t hear the song without thinking of the best times with Bev and Marcie. 💜💜💜
