Biena Villaluz Polinder, age 71, of Renton, Washington, passed away on May 31st, 2024. Biena was born to Efren and Amada Villaluz on July 13th, 1952, in Bucana Sasahan, Naic, Cavite, Philippines. She attended and graduated from Cavite Community Academy on April 11th, 1969. In 1970, Biena met Dennis Polinder, a Navy officer, and after a whirlwind courtship, was married on August 15th, 1970. The following year, they welcomed their daughter, Theresa Marie Polinder, on June 29th, 1971. For the next 8 years, they traveled wherever Dennis was stationed, from Okinawa, Japan, to Virginia, USA, finally arriving in Washington, USA, where they welcomed their son, Dennis Polinder, Jr, on September 11th, 1979. After Dennis retired that same year, they settled down in Seattle, WA. Biena was a devout member of the Igleisa Ni Cristo, and served in various capacities for the church, from singing in the choir, to secretarial tasks, to being a Deaconess, an elder-like position that would assist in dissemination of information to and from the general members, as well as performing collection duties during service. Biena was greatly loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Biena was preceded in death by both her parents, her daughter, Theresa, and her beloved husband, Dennis. She is survived by her sons Dennis, Dyllan, and Anthony.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Rd in Lynnwood, WA 98036 on Saturday, June 15 th , 2024, beginning at 8:00AM.
