Bonnie Joy Lambert (Stackhouse) was born on August 16, 1940, in Seattle, Washington to Harvey and Betty Stackhouse. She spent the first formative years of her life in the Columbia City Neighborhood, where she used the under branches of a willow tree as her playhouse.
Not long after she started grade school her family bought their forever home and moved to Shoreline, where she had woods as a backyard and streams and culverts to explore with the neighbor kids. She flourished there and was the oldest of six children in a humble home filled with love.
Bonnie was always an earnest and responsible child and daughter, doing her best to help her parents however she could. She learned to sew and cook and would make many of her clothes in High School, earning the money she needed for fabric through babysitting. She would bake cakes or cookies or other treats for her parent’s guests whenever they hosted game nights in their home, and she was the President of the Future Homemakers of America Club.
She was a Seafair Princess and won a scholarship to Beauty School, which led to a long career of 54 years as a Hairdresser. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from the tender age of 13 and served diligently in many Leadership positions within the Church over the years.
Bonnie married the love of her life on April 30th, 1962, and spent 63 years with her Best Friend William Dale Lambert. They were cherished companions and spent as much time as they could together. Dale preceded her in Death in October 2025.
Bonnie passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 2, 2026.
Bonnie was a wonderful mother to six children of her own, a Grandmother to eight, and Great Grandmother of two. She loved her family fiercely, completely, and with an unwavering strength. She was our rock and our harbor, and a soft shoulder in any storm.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Betty Stackhouse, Sisters Donna Lowe and Linda Stackhouse, and Brother Thomas Stackhouse. Survived by her sister’s Jody Stackhouse and Laurie Phillips (Tony), and many Nieces and Nephews who love her very much.
