Brother Christopher L. Phillips, Jr. was born to Toni Poindextor of Portland, Oregon and Christopher Phillips of Seattle, Washington on October 15, 1977. He departed this life on September 13, 2011 at the age of 33 in Providence Hospital, Portland, Oregon.
Christopher Jr. had been in a gang during his earlier teenage years. He was shot and was paralyzed from his waist down. He was confined to a wheel chair. He decided to change his life and gave himself to the Lord.
Chris loved the Lord. All of his confessions were about the Lord. He would tell you he heard heavenly music and singing. He would tell you that he made his peace with the Lord. He knew he was going to Heaven.
Chris leaves to mourn a mother, Toni Poindextor of Portland, Oregon, a father, Christopher Sr. of Seattle, Washington, a son Cyree of Portland, Oregon, a godmother, Carla Baker of Portland, Oregon, Grandmother Ethel Phillips of Seattle, Washington, Grandfather Bryce Phillips (who preceded him in death), two sisters Nicole and Leq’crecia, two brothers Tyril and Michael, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
