Crystal Corinne Ridgway Youngberg lived 61 glorious years. Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend to all, she was born in Bremerton, Washington in November of 1964. She passed away suddenly at her home in Everett, Washington on January 21, 2026 after her almost four year fight against cancer. Her laughter brought joy to everyone who was close by. She was the glue that made our family a family. She unceasingly strived to build the best life for family and friends. Her adoring love for her daughter Carmen was unmatched. Her tried and true love for her husband Eric of 36 years was without measure. She is survived by her husband Eric, daughter Carmen, father Tom, stepmother Connie, and brothers Tom and Bob as well as extended family members.
She played violin first chair in her high school orchestra, had perfect pitch as a vocalist and did the best old lady voice ever. Her Ethel Merman voice was also without equal.
Crystal’s career spanned four decades starting out in radio as a disc jockey and voice talent, then print media, and then moving on to many years in the life and property insurance industry rising to the Regional Regulatory Program Manager position at Symetra. She was beloved by her fellow workers at every stop along the way. She was a consensus builder and always labored for fairness and accuracy. There was never a more dependable and reliable employee who always shared her laugh along the way.
Crystal’s proudest/humblest moments included her 36 years of marriage, her baptism, giving birth to and raising her daughter and staying at the same company for 33 years.
She was an avid reader who loved knowledge through continual education whether from books, travel or media.
There will be a Celebration of life at Forest Park Seventh-day Adventist Church on February 15th at 1pm. Her family and friends will greatly miss all of the joy she brought to their lives.
