David Olaf Twedt

David Olaf Twedt, Age 87 of Brier, Washington passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024. David

was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Olaf and Marion Twedt on March 16, 1937. When David was 15

years old his family moved to Seattle, Washington. They lived in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood for

a couple of years before moving to their Home in Bothell. David attended and graduated from

Bothell High School in May of 1955. David met Darlene Dupea, and after dating for 16 months they

were married on August 16, 1958. Darlene had 2 children, Leanne and Davy. David and Darlene had

3 children together, Rick, Chuck and Dale. David and Darlene were married for 66 Years. David and

his family were members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Alderwood Manor. David began his

career doing sheet metal work and retired from Aircraft Standards in 2000 with a stroke, which

paralyzed him on his right side. David enjoyed spending time with his family. David had a 1931

Model A that he purchased after his stroke and enjoyed riding in it driven by his kids with the

grandkids riding in the rumble seat. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends. David was

preceded in death by both his parents, Olaf and Marion Twedt, his sister, Nancy, his stepson, Davy

Wheeler, his brothers Richard, Keith, James and Robert. He is survived by his wife Darlene, His

sister Cheryl (Jon) Hovey, his stepdaughter, Leanne (Jeff) Dehn, his sons' Rick (Erin) Twedt, Chuck

(Kathy) Twedt and Dale Twedt. David has 9 Grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

David’s graveside service will be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road in Lynnwood, WA

98036 on Saturday October 26, 2024, starting at 2:00PM.
