

Dolores May Holt, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed peacefully from this world on the evening of May 19,2021 while sitting in her favorite recliner listening to her favorite country music. She was 89 years old.
Dolores was born Dolores May Jennings, in Mukilteo Washington on March 19, 1932. Dolores is predeceased by her parents Lawrence Jennings and Mabel Schroeder and her husband Thomas (Jack) Holt. She leaves behind her younger brother Larry Jennings (Terri), five sons and one daughter, Tom (Steve), Bob (Jean), Debbie (Mark), Jay (Connie), Jeff (Karla), and Don (Paula). Dolores was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Mom graduated from Everett High School in 1950. She married Thomas Jackson Holt February 2, 1952. At the time of their marriage, Dad served in the military. Together, they travelled to many military bases throughout the United States, establishing homes in Washington D.C., Maryland, Texas, Arizona and California. After Dad was discharged from the service, they eventually settled in Everett, Washington.
Mom and Dad both were employed for General Telephone Company for many years. Upon retirement, they moved to Marysville, Washington. Their retirement years were spent traveling in their motor home throughout the United States. They spent many winters in California, Arizona, and Florida.
After Dad’s death in 2000, Mom continued to enjoy luncheon dates with her good friends Marge Ketchum and Lynn Blount. She especially enjoyed reunion luncheons with elementary classmates from Rosehill Elementary School in Mukilteo, Washington. Dolores lived independently for 5 ½ years in the Harbour Pointe Senior Living community in Mukilteo, Washington. While there, she participated in many community events. She especially derived great pleasure from conversations over meals and watching Mariner and Seahawk games with dear friends Bernie and Lael.
Mom relocated to the Mukilteo Memory Care community in November 2020. She continued her willingness to remain involved in activities and events while making new friends.
Until the end, Mom maintained her wonderful sense of humor. She loved to laugh and crack jokes with her visitors. She thoroughly enjoyed milkshakes, all things lemon, and her most favorite treat peanut butter Snickers bars. She especially took pleasure on every occasion and opportunity that allowed her to be with family and friends.
