Dona Belle White was born on October 9, 1938 in Reno Nevada to parents Willis & Eugenia Parsons. Dona passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023 at the Life Care Center in Port Townsend, Washington at the age of 84.
Dona was the youngest of 6 siblings. Her younger years were spent growing up in Seven Troughs and Tungsten mining camps in Nevada. They then moved to Lovelock, Nevada where she started 6th grade and remained through her junior year of high school. She then resided in Las Cruces, New Mexico for senior year and attended college.
Dona met her husband, Robert Roy White Sr, at the age of 17 when he was stationed at White Sands Proving Grounds in New Mexico. They eloped to Deming, New Mexico in January 1957. Born to them were Robert Roy White Jr, Donald Francis White and Mickie Idelle White. Dona is survived by son, Donald (Beth) and daughter, Mickie (Dennis); 9 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Dona’s career spanned from Seattle Credit Bureau for 5 years, Sears Roebuck Company in Customer Service for 21 years and then onto H&R Block as a tax consultant for 17 years. She loved working numbers!
Dona was kind, devoted and loving! She will be greatly missed but will live on in all the hearts she touched.
A funeral service for Dona will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036, followed by a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
