

Doris Mae Pollock was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on December 4, 1924 to Ivar Larsen and Elida Hansen Larsen. She passed on March 24, 2024 in Kirkland, Washington. After graduating from high school she moved with her family to Everett, Washington. Her first job was with the Army at Paine Field during the end of WWII. She then moved with her sister Lorraine to Denver, working in an architectural firm. She married, had a daughter and five years later both moved to Seattle to be with her mother and sister. Doris Mae worked as a secretary, then became a bank teller and finally an insurance agent. She retired in 1984 and, with her second husband Ken Pollock, sister Lorraine and brother-in-law Ferris Fleming, visited many places on the West Coast.
Doris Mae will be especially remembered for being a good listener and sympathetic friend, her dry sense of humor and love of cats. She enjoyed knitting Afghans and was dedicated to the Hallmark channel. In her later years, she enjoyed the company and help of her neighbors and friends Stacie Doran, Kim and Fred Besaw, Mary Smith, and caregiver and friend Nancy Mccann. Doris Mae is preceded in death by her parents, sister Lorraine, husband Ken Pollock, brother-in-law Ferris Fleming and cousin Rudy Berg. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Fullmer (Doug) and granddaughter Laura, all of Buellton, California, and her brother-in-law’s family, Karen Chizer (Scott) and her daughter Jana.
