Florence Cook at the age 101, passed away March 29, 2016 at Home away from Home. Florence was born in Groveport, Ohio on November 4, 1914 to Walter and Pearlie Judy. Florence and family moved to Mt. Vernon, Washington in 1927. She married Horace Cook, August 6, 1937 in Seattle, Washington. They were married 71 years. Preceding in death were her husband Horace Cook, her parents Walter and Pearlie Judy, 2 brothers, Clifford and Willis Judy, 4 sisters, Luella Judy, Esther Kersey, Mildred Wright and Alma Sherlock.
Survived by Florence are her children, 2 daughters are Phyllis (George) Thompson, Beverly (Clarence) Gettys and 1 son Jay (Judy) Cook, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Florence worked for Wilson Brothers Seed Company, Safeco Insurance from September 1950 to April 1975 when she retired. She worked on the voting board and was active in the Senior Spice Program. Florence belonged to the Independent Order of Foresters. She loved to go camping with her husband and friends. She liked to knit and crochet. Florence was laid to rest at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood, Washington.
