

Jerry was born in Spokane, Washington to Joseph and Marian Brooks. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Brooks Jr. and William Michael Brooks, and his sisters Marylee and Susan Louise Brooks. He is survived by his wife Irene Brooks, daughter Rose Aldrich (her husband Jack) and sons Patrick Brooks and Kevin Brooks, as well as Michael's wife Janice Brooks. He had two grandchildren David Stuckle and wife Merissa, as well as Jaclyn Escalera and her husband John who were the lights of his life. Jerry had four great-grandchildren: Oliver and Mallory, as well as Jasmin and Jae. Jerry also had extended family, Stacey and Bob Robinson and Larry Roth as well as their children.
Jerry’s church was a vital part of his life. He attended St. Pius X Catholic Church in Mountlake Terrace, Washington for the better part of 60-65 years. He had just attended Christmas Eve services prior to his passing. Jerry served in the US Army and was proud of his service as a cryptographer. He started a career with the railroad after his service and was a lifelong railroad worker until his retirement. He enjoyed his railroad family very much. A visit to his office allowed you to see his love of trains and the pride he had for the many years he worked for the railroad. Jerry also had a large collection of vinyl records in all sizes. He could be found in his office listening to his favorites on his record player throughout the day.
Church services will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 22209 58th Ave. W., Mountlake Terrace, Washington, 98034. Services will start at 11:00 AM. A small funeral service will follow for family at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Cemetery, 409 Filbert Rd., Lynnwood, Washington 98036
