Grace Darlene Palmer (Tuin) was born on June 6, 1936 in Adrian Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harm and Tena (Huisman) Tuin, her brothers Peter and George, and sister Sarah (Milem). The family moved to Slayton, Minnesota where Grace attended a one room country schoolhouse and later graduated from Slayton High School. She later moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to be near her sister. There she met and married Paul who was an Air Force Officer at Lincoln Air Force Base. She spent the next 20 years as an Air Force wife, stationed at many bases throughout the country, paying the bills and raising 3 boys while the guys were gone. After Paul retired in 1979 the family resided in Spokane, Washington until 1988 when they moved to Mill Creek, Washington. Grace was a wonderful wife and mother and enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends at the Mill Creek Country Club. She was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by Paul her husband of 58 years, sons Tom, John, and Michael, and 4 grandchildren. She will always live in our hearts. Many thanks to her caregivers at Angela’s House and Providence Hospital where she suffered from dementia in later life but was always pleasant and happy. No services are planned at this time.
