Helen Canua Caceres was born on March 7, 1940, in Bicol, Philippines, to Bernaby and Dominga Canua. She passed away peacefully on her birthday at Swedish Hospital in Edmonds. Her heart was full of love and kindness, and her smile lit up the room. She will be deeply missed.
A strong-willed survivor from a young age, she moved to Manila to live with her older sister as a teenager, later meeting her husband Marcos Caceres and immigrating to the US as an Air Force wife, with whom she shared almost 56 years of marriage and raised two daughters in Shoreline, WA.
Her life was a testament to the beauty of love and family. As a devoted wife and mother, she cultivated a warm and welcoming home, where cooking, gardening, bowling, and bingo brought her immense joy. Family gatherings were always a highlight, as she took great pleasure in hosting and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
Helen will forever be in the hearts of her loving husband Marcos Caceres, daughters Debbie Dadula and Linda Caceres (Richard Webb); five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings; Rizalina Francia, Celine Basister, Maria Serrac,and Jose Canua; son-in-law Don Dadula.
