James was born to Douglas and Helen Crites on March 1, 1951, in Seattle, Washington. Later in life, he attended Rainier Beach High School where he graduated in 1969, and continued his education at Highline Community College. After school, he built his career at Peoples (US) Bank and later worked at the US government post office where he worked for 20 years. In 1976, Jim married the love of his life, Linda, and took great pride in raising his boys. He welcomed Aaron in 1978 and always treated Jerry as his own. During his free time, Jim enjoyed playing golf, cooking, reading, taking his family on road trips, and fishing derby trips with Aaron and friends "No Women".
James was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Douglas “Buzz” Crites, Jimmy Judd & Allan Stewart as close friends. He is survived by his wife Linda, son Aaron and his wife Genna, son Jerry, grandkids Masen (Brie) and Brett (Courtney), and great-grandchildren, Beckham & Boden. Additionally, by his nieces and nephews.
