Reese was born and raised in Sultan, was a graduate of Sultan High School and served in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific during WWII. He was employed by the Seattle Times, retiring in 1988. In retirement he enjoyed his family, woodworking and printing with his antique printing press. He was preceded in death by his sister Doris and his brother Clark, and is survived by wife Dot, sons John (Dianne), Ed (Andrea), and Andy (Diane) as well as eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
