

Lorna Joyce King was born to Virginia and Leonard Timmerman on August 1, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She passed away on August 1, 2025. She leaves her sons, Jack Michael Maddalena (Kathy), Bradley Maddalena, Bruce Maddalena (Sherida), Mark Maddalena (Teri) and George Maddalena (Jessee Tucker) along with 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Paul S. Timmerman, Donald N. Timmerman, and Gerald L. Timmerman and a nephew, Paul L. Timmerman along with former husbands, Ignatius (Jack) Maddalena and Harvey T. King.
Lorna lived for a time in Anchorage and Metlakatla, Alaska, Fallon, Reno, and Las Vegas, Nevada prior to settling in Washington State. She worked for the city of Snohomish for about seven years. After returning from Alaska, Lorna became an Administrative Assistant at the Snohomish County Public Utility District and retired from there after 23 years. She enjoyed her membership in several professional women’s organizations and actively served on her condo board for many years.
Lorna dearly loved her family and enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sports activities. Traveling with friends and family to Europe, Mexico, Hawaii and Canada in her later years was always a pleasure. She raised Appaloosa horses while in Snohomish and enjoyed horseback riding, skiing and summer sports.
A celebration of life for Lorna will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood, WA. An inurnment in rose garden will occur Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood, WA, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital are suggested.
