

Lowell Wesley Wiseman passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Swedish Medical Center in Edmonds, WA surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Des Moines, IA, on October 16, 1928 and is survived by his wife, Evelyn Wiseman, his son Bruce Wiseman and wife Lisa, grandsons Nicolas and Zackary Wiseman, his sister Eloise Jepsen and niece Kathy Wilson, great nephews Edward and Phillip Wilson and great nieces, Emily, Julie and Beth Wilson.
Lowell graduated from East High in Des Moines IA in 1947 where he was a Master Councilor in DeMolay. He attended Iowa University in Iowa City and Grandview College in Des Moines. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War where he served from 1951 to 1955 in Korea and Japan. Lowell lived in Los Angeles, San Diego and Edmonds, WA during his adult life while raising his family. He worked for 30 years at AC Nielsen as a District Manager. Lowell and Evelyn celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August. He was a 48+ year member and advisory board member of Edmonds Christian Church.
Lowell’s avid interest in genealogy and history lead him and his sister to publish a family history legacy book dating back to the year 1700. He was a dedicated volunteer at Edmonds Christian Church and the University of Washington Covenant House/Campus Ministries in Seattle and spent much time giving to those in need. His hobbies included a love of gardening, woodworking and model railroading.
Lowell’s greatest pride and joy were his two grandsons who will miss him very much.
Memorial services will be Saturday November 5, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, Lynnwood, WA. Reception immediately following service.
