I miss and think of you everyday enjoying  a glass of wine and sharing stories of our kids. You were a great lady and friend and you will always be in my heart.  Till we meet again. With love, Diana

I met Lynn in kindergarten at Walt Disney Elementary School in Levittown, PA. We were best buddies all thru elementary.. We lived 2 houses apart. They are the best memories of my childhood until the Younggren's station wagon took her away back to Minnesota. I still see it leaving Shadetree Lane as I slowly walked home. We have stayed in touch despite her moving around and my moving up and down the East Coast.  These later years the letters were fewer but I always looked forward to her Christmas letters. 
Always hand written. Always pictures.
I will miss my best buddy.

God puts people in our lives for purposes we are not aware of at first.  I met Lynn 24 years ago when we worked at Verizon.  I found her to be intelligent, fierce and competitive.  Fierce would not be a word a lot of people would use for Lynn but she was like a honey badger when it came to her family and faith.  She was totally devoted.  She was also kind, loving and generous and took her volunteer duties at church, the food bank and helping others very serious.

Some of my favorite memories were sitting next to her every Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church along with Ron and sometimes their kids and grandkids would fill a pew.  Often afterwards we would go to Starbucks to get her mocha.  It’s the little things that make life special.

I have been blessed to know her.

Hinnenkamp Family,

This is Logan Laszczyk, an early childhood friend from Redmond, Washington in Coast Guard housing from 1985-1988.

Some of my most meaningful early childhood memories are with Tom and Dan Hinnenkamp and my sister Rachel, some of her early memories with Bobby.

I have three (3) specific memories of your mom. 

First, your mom was incredibly kind to me. Tom had invited me over to stay the night. I was excited, but I was nervous as this was my first sleepover. With Dan and Tom asleep, I woke up. Your mom heard me. She took me to your kitchen. She got me a snack and stayed up with me until I felt comfortable enough to go back to sleep.

Second, my father died unexpectedly when we lived in Coast Guard housing. Tom and I were both 8. This was the most challenging experience of my childhood. The Hinnenkamp's were at the funeral for my mom. They also were their for my sister and I. No doubt the Hinnenkamp's attended the funeral because of the example of kindness and concern of their mother.

Third, my family moved a few months later to northern California. One of the first phone calls we got in our new home in California as from Mrs. Hinnenkamp. I remember because my mom was unboxing a few things and asked me to answer the phone.  Your mom specifically called my mom to check on how she was doing and to make sure our family was okay (my mom told me this when I was older).

The Hinnenkamp's were a significant part of my childhood. I first played soccer, baseball, learned to tie my shoes (Dan taught me), collect baseball cards, ride a bike, and play Capture the Flag and Nintendo's Zelda with the Hinnenkamp's.

Good people almost always come from good people who set an example. Mrs. Hinnenkamp was an example of kindness, support, and involvement with her family and with mine during my childhood.

We are sending our heartfelt Sympathy to you all. Lynn & I were born only weeks apart. We spent a lot of time together growing up. And when our Lynn Marie was born she was named after your Mom. Your Mom & Dad had only been married a couple weeks. But Lynn came to help take care of us . I had complications during the pregnancy. She was always not only my niece but Best Beloved Friend.
