

Malcolm Johan Tarp, age 76 of Lynnwood, Washington passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021. Malcolm was born to Carl Tarp and Beatrice D. Tarp (Evjen) of Seattle, Washington on September 25, 1945. Malcolm attended and graduated from Bothell High School in May of 1965. After high school, Malcolm became a laborer and joined the Laborers' Local Union 242 serving on the forefront of the construction industry. In March of 1969, Malcolm met Barbara Moore and got married on February 14, 1970. Malcolm and Barbara raised one daughter together, Marilee Ann Daugherity.
Malcolm was a great storyteller and loved to go on adventures with his wife Barbara traveling to Las Vegas, the Oregon Coast and Branson Missouri. He loved spending time with family and friends. Malcolm was an avid lover of Pacific Northwest Bands. Some of his favorites included Wailers, Merrilee Rush, Jr. Cadillac, and Paul Revere and the Raiders. He also enjoyed car shows, had a passion for NHRA racing, collecting tools and smoking his pipe with rum cherry tobacco.
Left to cherish Malcolm's memory are his loving wife, Barbara Tarp; daughter, Marilee Ann Daugherity (Ricky); grandchildren, Issacc Ramirez (Eva), Josue Ramirez, Hailee Daugherity, Adam Daugherity (Elizabeth), Kieran Daugherity; great-grandkids, Gage Daugherity, Brooklyn Horner, Kierce Horner, and Wyatt Carr along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by both his parents, Carl and Beatrice Tarp.
A Celebration of Malcolm’s life will be held at a later date.
