Mary Kathryn (Lewis) Shular

Mary Lewis Shular of Kenmore, WA passed away on Saturday March, 2023 at the age of 77. She was born on May 19, 1945 in Wenatchee, WA where she grew up as the youngest of six children to Leslie and Iona "Ruth" Lewis. She graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1963 and graduated from Stephens College in 1968. Mary married her husband Bob in July of 1977.

In her early career Mary worked as a travel agent and also owned/operated a shoe store in Bellevue Square Mall with her husband Bob. She later worked as an executive assistant at Microsoft for over 10 years and at Callison Architecture in Seattle, WA until she retired in 2007.

Mary loved traveling. Over the years she visited Europe several times along with trips to Mexico, Hawaii, New York, Colorado, Arizona, California and many places in our home state of Washington. She was an avid Seahawks, Mariners and Storm fan. For quite a few years Bob and Mary were season ticket holders for the Seattle Storm women's basketball team. Mary was also an excellent cook. She enjoyed entertaining and hosting dinners, parties, and family get togethers for many years.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Iona and Leslie Lewis, as well as her sisters Betty and Barbara and her brother Gordon. She is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Shannon, Son in Law Gerrit, two granddaughters Avery & Riley, her brother Jim, and sister Virginia (Ginny).

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Kirkland Congregational Church on Saturday, April 22,2023 at 2:00 PM. A reception will be held following the service at the church with food and beverages. For anyone interested, there will also be post reception drinks and dessert at the Green Acres Club House in Bothell, WA.
