

Neal Edward Zuehl, Age 76 of Marysville, Washington passed away peacefully on December 24, 2021, in his home as he wanted after suffering a massive stroke on August 11. Neal was born to Rufus Clarence Zuehl and Patty Lou Zuehl of Seattle, Washington on July 22, 1945. Neal attended and graduated Mountlake Terrace High School in 1963. After high school Neal joined the Marine Corps and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged after six years of service, including service in the Vietnam War earning a Purple Heart.
In 1971, Neal and Diane (Crossfield) married in March at the Olympic Baptist Church, where they met. Neal and Diane raised two daughters together, Tara and Jenee and celebrated forty-eight years of marriage. Sadly, in February of 2020, Diane passed away quickly due to cancer. Before beginning his long-time career of 33 years with the United States Post Office from 1975 - 2008, he attended and graduated the University of Washington receiving his BA. When Neal was not working, he enjoyed being Youth Group Leader, Crusaders for Christ Puppet Leader, and many other church related activities, home improvement projects, driving family vacations, gambling, reading, board and card games, and attending movies.
Neal was proceeded in death by both his parents, his brother Wayne and his beloved wife, Diane. He is survived by his daughter, Tara Zuehl and daughter, Jenee (Larry) Powell and by his three grandchildren, Timothy, Colby and Cailyn. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Rock of Hope Church in Edmonds, WA on Saturday, January 29th, 2022 beginning at 1 pm with a simple refreshment time for those comfortable directly following. All current COVID recommendations will be followed. The Wounded Warrior Organization is something that Neal and the family has supported if you feel inclined to donate in his memory.
