Norma Izetta Wade, 87, passed on March 15, 2012, at Highline Community Hospital in Burien. She was born on February 5, 1925 in Denver, Colorado to Everett and Othia Barkley. She joined two sisters Thelmann and Wilma. She graduated from Manuel Training High school in 1943. At the height of WWII, she went to work at Western Union and retired 30 years later. She was involved with the Eagles and in helping out her neighbors, friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Wilma Strait, her husband Theodore Wade and her nephew James Strait.
Norma leaves behind her niece, Lori Brenenstahl; her great nephew Mathew Hartshorn; and a great-great nephew Alexander Hartshorn.
The family wishes to thank Highline Community Hospital, especially Jason, who helped her pass with laughter and a smile.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
